We want everyone who uses same day urgent care services to have one clear route to high-quality healthcare assessment, advice, treatment and where required, referral, at any time, on any day.
This ambition will improve flow through the hospitals and create the space to care for those who need care in hospital when they need it.

Home First Team
Based within ED and assessment units, the team provides prompt assessment and support in the community by taking a holistic approach, helping to avoid hospital admission.
Urgent Community Response
Provides urgent care to people in their homes, helping to avoid hospital admissions and enabling people to live well for longer, at home.
Response times for urgent cases are usually within two hours, or 48 hours for less urgent cases.
