North West Surrey Alliance in Action newsletter, Spring 2023
Welcome to the third edition of our Alliance newsletter, and excitingly the first edition to go out to a much wider distribution across our communities and partners.
With so much pressure on our frontline services across the partnership amazing things and new developments continue to be delivered across the partner organisations.
At the end of March, we were delighted to host our first community day at RHS Wisley Gardens, welcoming over 200 members of the public and our staff, to work with us in shaping the future of services across our communities. This will be the first of a number of events across NW Surrey and we look forward to evolving the programme with local people over the course of this year.
Our teams continue to innovate and develop new ways to support people, we have expanded our Virtual Ward service, allowing specialist teams to monitor people in the community with advance technology, enabling people to be safely cared for in the comfort of their own home. We have expanded our use of the Tribe platform which connects people to all of the support, clubs and activities going on around them in their local are; and we continue to enhance our services in the community, working to develop integrated teams that can bring together GP practices, community nurses, therapists and a range of other professionals in each of our towns across the Alliance.
This quarter has been a busy one for our Borough Council partners, we have launched our new partnership boards in Spelthorne, Elmbridge and Woking - bringing agencies together across the councils, health, police and the voluntary sector to work together on improvements across our communities. Runnymede Borough Council have published their new Health and Wellbeing Strategy, setting out key priorities for improving outcomes for communities across the Borough. And Stephen Mortimer-Cleevely, Strategy Lead for Independent Living at Spelthorne Borough Council has even launched our first Key Workers Choir!
Overall, our partners continue to do incredible things in a highly challenging environment for us all and we hope you enjoy reading more about some of these developments in this quarter’s newsletter.
